Emma Watson shows off Lancome’s new red Rogue in Love lipstick and Vernis in Love nail polish in this new advertisement for the beauty brand.

“The idea is to make this young generation — that has been a gloss fan — come back to using lipsticks,” Youcef Nabi, president of Lancome International, tells WWD. “At the same time, they were complaining about the fact that the classical lipsticks were heavy on lips. So we invented a formula which is a brand new generation of texture that is at the same time very intense color and six-hour perfect wear.”

“We worked with Emma on the shade range,” added Nabi.

 

You can’t really go wrong with Emma Watson. The girl’s adorable, possesses a mini body perfect for couture fashion, and she’s charming and articulate to boot.

So it’s no surprise that Lancome is sticking with its spokeswoman, promoting the “Harry Potter” alum from fragrance girl to lipstick lady. Watson is the new face of Rouge In Love, a new collection of lipsticks in 24 different shades. Like so many lip products, the Rouge In Love lipsticks claim to be super long-lasting — up to six hours! — which is a good thing for Emma: she is one busy girl.

After taking every red carpet by storm to close out the “Harry Potter” franchise and filming a part in “My Week With Marilyn”, Emma headed to Oxford University to attempt to study like a normal kid. But she still found time to star in a commercial for Lancome’s Trésor Midnight Rose fragrance, prancing around in a Paris-shot video that was as adorable as it was cheesy.

The new Rouge In Love ads are not cheesy in the slightest. In fact they’re quite understated, depicting Emma in hand-drawn pictures in simple, Parisian chic outfits: a white button-down shirt, a strapless LBD, a white blouse with cut-offs and a hat.

They are so simple, in fact, that we worry they may be a bit forgettable, non?

Whilst visiting Hong Kong with Lancôme, the Harry Potter star, Emma Watson, has offered some sage advice to teenagers everywhere.Emma Watson’sown adolescence was a far cry from that of any ordinary teenagers with eight Harry Potter films and a few modelling contracts thrown in for good measure. But Emma hasn’t let that stop her from offering some wise words to other youngsters.

During a trip to Hong Kong as the face of Lancôme, Miss Watson has emphasised the importance of ‘feeling comfortable’ in your own skin to teens everywhere. The 21-year-old actress turned fashionista cut off her locks last year to rebel against her Harry Potter character Hermione’s good-girl image. Watson also revealed that her make-up routine has become more ‘experimental’ since she went for the chop and donned a pixie crop. She told fans how much she was enjoying opting for more bold and daring looks.

The Oxford University student offered her best advice to young fans and teenagers, saying:

‘Be true to who you are and do the best to feel comfortable in your own skin. You are all right exactly as you are.’

Watson admitted at the premiere of her latest film My Week with Marilyn, that juggling her University timetable, acting and promotional work had been difficult. Trying to keep track of her busy schedule, Emma compared her hectic lifestyle to that of Marilyn Monroe’s: ‘I certainly feel a lot for her and what she went through.’

‘I think she was just trying to find her feet in the midst of this crazy circus that went on around her and find some sort of balance and normality in her life – I can relate to that.’
